The POTHOLES parents' tour group was established in 2011 by the Home School Community Liaison Coordinators of St. Aidan's CS, KCS and Mt. Seskin. The idea was to bring parents together to visit places of cultural or educational interest and have a bit of fun along the way! POTHOLES has been a great success since its beginning with a number of tours being held during the year. Joining a POTHOLES tour is a great way to meet and get support from other parents. Over the years we have visited:
- Glasnevin Cemetery
- Kilmainham Gaol
- Newgrange
- The Botanic Gardens
- Newbridge Silver and Fashion Museum
- Newry
- The National gallery
- Butler's Chocolate Factory
- Collins Barracks
- Glendalough
- .... and many more!
POTHOLES is open to all parents, guardians and family members. Everyone is welcome in the POTHOLES group... Like the logo says :" We don't do isolation". The tours are generally free of charge and we try to leave around 9am and return by 1.30pm in time to pick up the little ones from primary school.
